About Attorney Braden Riley

Braden Riley is an accomplished trial attorney with more than a decade of experience in courtrooms across the Gulf Coast and around the country. Originally from Houston, Mr. Riley earned his undergraduate, master's, and law degrees all from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He knew he wanted to be a trial attorney from the very start of his legal career. In his second year of law school, Mr. Riley won first place in the Moot Court argue-on contest as a transfer student. During law school, Mr. Riley went on to intern for both state and federal prosecutor's offices, gaining keen insight on what makes a great trial attorney. In his first job out of law school, Mr. Riley served as an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County, where he rose to become a felony prosecutor handling the most serious cases on the docket, including murder, aggravated robbery, and prosecutions of international gang members. That experience taught him how to build a case from the ground up, how to cross-examine effectively, and how to win in front of a jury.

He then joined an AmLaw 100 international law firm, where he spent years defending Fortune 500 companies and major energy corporations against personal injury claims arising at oil wells , offshore platforms , refineries, and industrial worksites across the Gulf Coast. He took and defended hundreds of depositions and learned precisely how these companies investigate incidents, retain experts, and build their defenses — knowledge he now uses to fight against them.

Today, Mr. Riley fights exclusively for the people injured at those same places. He knows how the other side thinks because he was the other side. That inside knowledge of how major corporations and their insurers approach these cases is what he brings to every client he represents. In 2026, Mr. Riley founded Gulf Coast Trial Attorneys to represent the people and families who need it most.

Mr. Riley has tried more than 25 jury trials, taken and defended hundreds of depositions, and handled catastrophic injury cases involving oilfield explosions , offshore injuries , Jones Act claims, trucking accidents , and wrongful death . He is licensed in Texas and Louisiana and represents clients throughout the Gulf Coast region and nationwide.
